Glovebox Radio and Amplifier

Because the tread plate panel eliminates a spot to put a radio (not that I listen to the radio, but my brother insists I need one) I got my brother to make me a radio and amp holder under my glovebox. Next thing I know I don’t even have a glovebox anymore! Here’s what he came up with. There’s a captive nut welded to the body just above the glovebox insert. He made this to… Read More

Other Photochops

Brumby Dual Cab Ute Someone on AUSubaru wanted to know what people thought a Dual Cab Brumby would be like. In stead of thinking, I just cut one up. I couldn’t find a EA81 (MY) styled car facing the right way in “google image” so I used a L series instead. It was a quick production and only took me about 50mins. So that’s kinda why it looks a little messed up. Soobmater’s (USMB member)… Read More

Subaru Brumby (BRAT) Rollbar and Bullbar

The rollbar (should really be called a “sportsbar” as it wouldn’t help in a roll) was from another Subaru at a wrecker. I believe it was a custom job too. It is simply made out of 3″ stainless steel exhaust welded together with those 45degree mandrel bends you can buy. I got it cheap as the wrecker didn’t think it was worth much, but I believe custom rollbars go for around $200 to $400 new. Closer… Read More

1990 EA82 Hatch

As pre USMB members request I have finally finished my EA82 hatchback. Seems this car never got on the market (was never designed) I thought I may as well see what it would of looked like. All the other concepts I have done are of new Subaru’s and could well be made. But since this is a old model car the only way it would be for real is if someone cut up a wagon… Read More

PDA Pocket PC Car Stereo and Custom Center Console for the Dash

I was thinking, what’s the point of having a radio or CD player when I could just use my PDA as a MP3/WMA player. Also my IPAQ Pocket PC can play video. So, after a couple of ideas, and designs, I came up with a good place for it. Right where the CD player was. I was motivated on doing this because after trying to fix the plug on the back of the CD player,… Read More

Kumho Venture M/T 27×8.5R14

27″ inch MT’s 27×8.5/R14, 215/75/R14 I thought I’d write up a bit of a review for others to read to find out how great M/T (Mud Terrain) tires are, and also there weak points. I bought these tyres after driving my subie on 185/60/R14 road tires. I wanted something that would give my car a bit more ground cleance and a bit more grip. The old tires I used had no offroad grip, they were… Read More

The New Subaru Forester Pickup Truck

This Photochop is of the Subaru Forester. I was asked to photochop it into a pickup truck as it would make a fn and useful ride. It would have a long tray. And the ability to go anywhere just like every other Subaru! I would still prefer to see the new Brat. But I think I have made this Forester look quite entertaining. The original Subaru Forester I decided to work with. I pick this… Read More

The Convertible WRX STI

I was just playing around with idea I haven’t seen yet. An Subaru convertible. Since making this I have found out that there is in fact Subaru convertibles out there. I am not sure If they are factory, or if they are just converted by some one. Anywho, this is what I have came up with. I first shortened the STi. Then painted the background in over the roof. I left the spoiler at first,… Read More

The New BRAT

You may know the BRAT as the Brumby. The Brumby is Australia’s version of the American BRAT. Also known as the MV 284 in the UK. The design for the new Subaru BRAT is basically the same as the old Subaru BRAT. I first got the wagon version of the WRX and cut the back windows out. Reshaped the bit behind the window. Made the door longer. Put that safety rollbar lump that the old… Read More

Fender trimming a 2″ lifted rig for 27″ tires

I used to have 22.5″ (185/60R14’s) But these were hopeless with offroading. And didn’t give the car anymore ground clearance then a stock, non-lifted, rig. I looked for a while and almost gave up on the idea of A/T’s or M/T’s for my 14″ Sunraysia wheels. But then I found I could get Kuhmo 27×8.5/14’s pretty cheap. Be for I got them I thought I wouldn’t have to do much to fit them, it looked… Read More
