some pics:

Our San Francisco City Safari tour bus/ute/truck (circle one ):

Posing with the golden gate bridge:

San Francisco from Twin Peaks:

I liked this sign!  I reckon it'd keep some of the locals guessing:

We had some cable car fun after they turned it around and we made it to the head of the line:

The golde gate's shadow on the water below:

I found a gum tree!  A whole stand actually... They're everywhere, even at disneyland!

Where's the bloody steering wheel?  A very strange feeling not having the wheel infront of me when sitting on the right hand side of the vehilce (a saab-baru!):

One mother of a V8 toyota moster truck!  I'm 186cm tall and this thing was still taller!

The dirty run-down city of LA, ignore the image potrayed of this city, same for hollywood:

The Disney castle just before the firework display:

A cement mixer truck on the freeway:

Rough fuel prices for the area, remember this is for FOUR litres of fuel - and they're complaining about it being expensive!

A MASSIVE bridge we drove over in San Diego:

The bridge architecture around here is mind blowing!  I've seen bridges that around 4 storey's high or more with two or three bridges under it!  The best was one last night but I didn't have the camera out sad

And here's the toyota tonka truck again:

This is a replica harley from the early 1900's to celebrate 100 years of the Hearly Davidson:

That's it for now.  Tomorrow is a long flight home via sydney!  Can't wait to drive my car again and catch up with my better half and mates too.

I'd love to come back and road trip around next time wink

Cheers

Bennie

Sounds like you had an alright time, except for a few disappointing adventures. Amazing pictures of the Grand Canyon, and the Golden Gate. I guess you didnt make it to Yosemite, i would LOVE to go there and backpack for a few days.

Yeah you could have probably asked anyone and they would have told you not to take the city buses, thats just a given here in the States. My sister kinda had the same reaction about San Fran when she went there, though most cities are the same, kinda dirty, not a whole lot special really, and freakin hot all the time, but we think of OZ as hot so maybe it wasnt to bad for you.
