simplest way to lift a gl wagon

hello
im interested in lifting a subaru gl wagon. i would like some input on the easiest and cheapest way to go about this. if you could help me out i would be grateful

Where in the world do you live? I can suggest some companies to look at.

Easiest is a body lift. This puts blocks between the engine, gearbox, diff, suspension and body of the car. It gives more clearance between the wheel arches and wheels allowing larger tyres. The tires are what will increase your clearance, body lift won't.
Suspension lift is possible, but only about 1" over stock , otherwise your front CV joints won't last more then a couple of months.

and i was just tryin to find out how to get the most clearence.
if you could tell me some of the companies that would be great.

In washington you have SJR http://www.sjrlift.com
You can also get lifts from PK Ozified http://www.ozified.com

Hirise in Australia also exports them to the US if you want.

Most people in the US go for the 4" lift with 27 or 28" OD tires.

I am planning on buying the lift from sjr. Has anyone used these lifts and dealt with the steering shaft extensions? I know that they do not provide these and other lifts do. I was wondering what the cost would be or if I could fab it myself if I had a welder.

Also, what is your guys opinion on new stiffer springs and struts?

Stiffer springs are a mistake, you don't need them in an off roader. but make sure you extend your engine stabiliser bar. It runs from your firwall to your bell housing and stops 4wd engaging when you take off hard.

king springs with KYB shocks. they are great, especially offroad. subarus are never gunna flex anyways. hande exellent on road and makes my touring wagon handle curves sitting flat and sideways.
Highly recomended.

Yes, the Loyale is the same as the older EA82 with the exception it is always fuel injected (not an option like the older EA82's) and does not come with dual range gearbox (no low range for offroad).
