Nice 80... first pic looks like you need a locker or two though.. Are those 80's FT4WD or part time?

yeh the gxl's (ones with the flares, electric everything etc) are full time. Mines basically stock apart from some 33 mtz's and suspension of some sort the previous owner put in.

That first pic is a hell rutted bitch of a thing, the only thing that got up was that red hilux - twin locked with super slow gears. though only me and that 100 series were the ones to get up a a so called "impossible hill". Prettymuch vertical with steep rocks :D

Yeah, on the weekend Roger took his 4runner over a "impossible track" at loveday. Tony calls it the "Rock Garden". Wasn't a problem and the next day he done it again. Hilux with low ranges and lockers kick butt.

Pitty its FT, otherwise is like a $450 front locker and your almost unstoppable. Still, a rear auto locker would work fine, just have to live with some small quirks of it. Or $$$$ for ARB.

In my mind, lockers are the best thing you can do when offroading.

thought i'd join in and show my L as it stands at the moment...roof rack cage and spotties are to come next....was stoked that i hardened up and fitted the new bull bar myself instead of giving someone my arm and leg($$$) to put it on for me! it was only fiddley cos of the confined spaces to work with :P...other than that i was actualyl suprised how simple the task was!

They would be Speedy Desert Rats made with wider offset then standard Subaru wheels and with the correct Subaru 4x140 PCD. We've pretty much all got them here in Australia. Lucky aren't we
