The current box is a G52 and might break if I run a turbo and the 35s...   its got a 21 spline output with a smaller shaft than the one you find in the turbo and v6 models (23spline).

the gearbox (G52) last ages with stock power and normal driving but can shear parts off with more power and heavy loads (like rock hopping).

Front and rear diff locks plus 35" tyres is already quite a stretch. But she's holding up so far. Like said before, get a Rover box

i reckon a good engine and gear box to put in for both power and reliability would be the toyota turbo 4.2L diesel with its gear box. ive pulled apart the engine and its a nice piece of machinery and the gear box is strong as an ox!
i reckon it would git nicely!

What about rebuilding the 2.4 and throwing a turbo on it...then get around to the box when it lets go?
