Need some advice on tyre size for stock 13 inch rims
« on: November 24, 2017, 05:04:35 PM »
You all have prob heard this question a few times before, I tried search for answers in prev posts but am having issues finding what I need. Prob is I want to keep standard rims but need to get some extra height whilst staying on stock rims. I have tried raising via torsion bar but I think there is a issue there which needs attention. I plan on getting some light truck tyres for now but need advice on max sidewall height I could go without lifting once torsion is replaced or repaired. Any advice would be great fully received. Cheers. Craig

Phiz would be your best bet for this advice.

To get a larger tyre you'll have to move to a 14 inch rim, these are available with a wider offset.

I'll let Phiz answer this one ;)

Cheers

A 185/80R13 is about as large of a 13 you can go. They fit too. With a 14 inch wheel tyre combo I believe 195/65r14 is about the biggest you can go on the standard offset aftermarket rims without modifying guards.

Cheers Bennie.

I had to settle for 175.75.r13 as this was the largest option I had available to ch9ose from. Should do OK until I can round up a set of sunnrays 14s. Thanks again guys…
